Close Board is where the boards on the front of the fence run vertically (i.e., top to bottom), where Lap panels have horizontal boards. The choice between these versions is somewhat dependent on personal taste, what is currently in situ and budget.
We stock Durapost (steel), Timber and Concrete posts. In general, Duraposts and concrete posts are more hard wearing than timber (due to the “softer” nature of timber). Depending on the style of fencing required, posts can also be mortised, V-cut or plain.
We generally operate in an area of approximately 40 miles radius of our premises in Gamlingay. This covers areas such as Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. However, we are pleased to respond to enquiries from other areas.
Most of our timber fencing is supplied pressure treated with brown stain. However, some of our premium fence panels are supplied pressure treated with a green stain, and we can custom order posts and other timber components to match.
Concrete fencing components are all supplied in self-coloured light grey.
Durapost components are all available in Anthracite Grey, Sepia Brown, Olive Grey and Galvanised.
Our metal fencing is available in Galvanised, or powder coated Black or Green. Alternatively, you can have your metal fencing powder coated in almost any colour you like. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
When our estimator visits for a site visit/survey, they will check what you require removing and will build this into our quotation. We are registered with the Environment Agency as licensed waste carriers (CB/DP3606QP) and guarantee to legally dispose of any waste we remove from site.
This can only be determined once we have quoted for the work. Many factors can affect time frame, including type of works, materials needed, size of job and current workloads. The sooner we can organise a visit and quote for the work, the sooner we can determine a commencement date and time frame for the works.
Shipping rates for deliveries up to 30km from our depot will be calculated at checkout. If your delivery address is further than 30 km from us you will see a message to call and we can discuss shipping options with you. Alternatively, you can call us to arrange the collection of goods from our Gamlingay, Cambs site.
