Q – Do you supply and install fencing for private individuals’ houses? You look like a large company and I am worried that I am ‘too small’ for you?

A – We work for a variety of styles of customers – including New House Builders, Schools, Industrial, maintenance companies etc. However, we also have a very busy private/domestic customer base and we have a true ‘no job too big or too small’ policy! Please contact us, we would love to hear from you!

Q – What is the difference between close board fencing and lap panel fencing?

A – Close Board is where the boards on the front of the fence run vertically (i.e. top to bottom), where Lap panels have horizontal boards. The choice between these versions is somewhat dependent on personal taste, what is currently in situ and also a budget level.

Q – What types of posts are available?

A – Posts are available in concrete, timber and composite styles. In general, concrete posts are more harder wearing than timber (due to the “softer” nature of timber) and composite posts are also hard wearing. Depending on the style of fencing required, posts can also be mortised, V-cut or plain.

Q – What areas do you cover?

A – We generally operate in an area of approximately 40 miles radius of our premises in Gamlingay, Bedfordshire. This covers areas such as Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. However, we are pleased to respond to enquiries from other areas.

Q – What colours are your fences and posts?

A – As a rule, we supply and install TIMBER fencing in the format that the timber is supplied to us – generally a brown colour! However, if you have specific requirements please contact us. Metal fencing and gates can be supplied in galvanised finish or powder coated to a colour. Charges may apply.

Q – Do you remove old panels and posts before installing new fencing?

A – When our estimator visits for a site visit/survey, they will check what you require removing and will build this into our quotation. We are registered with the Environment Agency as licensed waste carriers (CB/DP3606QP) and guarantee to legally dispose of any waste we remove from site.

Q – How long will it take to install my fencing?

A – This can only be determined once we have quoted for the work and we can then determine if there are any special items to be ordered or made. It is also dependent on how long the job will take and also the levels of our current work load. The sooner we can organise a visit and quote for the work, the sooner we can determine a commencement date and time frame for the works.
